Join the dynamic team at SAMURAI YAKINIKU SDN. BHD. as a full-time Restaurant Crew in Penang (SEBERANG JAYA & BAYAN BARU). In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the efficient and smooth operation of our premier Japanese barbeque restaurant.

What you'll be doing
  • Greet newly arrived customers and assist them to their dining tables.
  • Be able to memorize the menu well and recommend special items to customers.
  • Wear clean attire according to the set dress code.
  • Repeat customers' orders after noting them down.
  • Handle any customer feedback or complaints calmly and professionally.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food items.
  • Thank customers before they leave the premises.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store, dining area, kitchen, kitchen equipment, and storeroom facilities throughout the shift.
  • Maintain the company’s reputation and image.
  • Establish effective communication and teamwork with other staff members.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors effectively.
What we're looking for
  • The candidate must have at least a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), diploma, or an equivalent degree.
  • Previous experience in customer service or food service is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality or food service industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English
