Job description

As a Research Specialist (Economics-focus), you will :

Analyse key high-frequency economic indicators of selected countries to identify turning points and emerging risks;

Develop economic forecasts and long-term projections to inform asset allocation and thematic positioning;

Conduct timely and critical analysis of major economic issues — including monetary and fiscal policy shifts, trade tensions, institutional reforms and geopolitical developments — at both local and global levels;

Undertake comprehensive industry and country-level research to understand transmission mechanisms, second-order effects and investment implications; and

Generate original, evidence-based investment ideas grounded in macroeconomic reasoning and empirical validation.

Apart from strong economic and analytical skills, you must possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Qualifications & Requirements

A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Economics. Candidates with a strong Bachelor’s degree (First Class Honours or CGPA 3.8/4.0) and demonstrable research aptitude may also be considered.

Strong capacity for critical thinking — able to assess model assumptions, data limitations and policy trade-offs beyond headline indicators.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, concise and well-structured analytical outputs for investment decision-makers.

Intellectual rigour, adaptability and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
