Job summary

Shell Malaysia is seeking an experienced Technical & Process Safety Engineer to identify, assess, and mitigate process safety risks across assets. You will lead HAZOP/HAZID studies, LOPA analyses, and safety reviews to ensure ALARP and strong barrier integrity, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will drive risk-based assurance, contribute to HSSE case development, and support incident investigations and safety KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
• Experience in process safety in oil, gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and process safety advice, risk assessments, and risk assurance.
• Lead HAZOP/HAZID studies and HE MP activities to ensure ALARP.
• Perform and advise on PSSR and technical safety analyses such as LOPA, QRA, HAC.
• Lead risk assessment discussions and track close-out of safety actions.
