Job summary

THE LANGUAGE GROUP, LLC is seeking an experienced healthcare interpreter for a remote-only position. The role involves interpreting communications between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers, while upholding ethical standards and patient confidentiality.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of interpreting experience (OPI/VRI preferred), fluency in English and the target language, and formal interpreter certification where available.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum interpreting experience; preferably OPI/VRI
• Must demonstrate fluency in English and the target language and provide fluency test results
• 40 hours or more interpreter training

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets messages between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers or support personnel on-site
• Adheres to the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care and to the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care
• Must always maintain patient confidentiality
