Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Scala Engineer to work remotely on an hourly basis, focusing on reviewing AI-generated Scala code and producing high-quality reference implementations. You will assess solutions for correctness, optimize AI performance, and ensure model integrity by testing AI outputs.

Ideal candidates will have over 4 years of Scala experience, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and strong proficiency in JVM fundamentals. This role provides an opportunity to work with leading AI models affecting millions of developers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience building production systems using Scala.
• Expert-level proficiency in Scala 2.13+ and/or Scala 3.
• Deep experience with concurrency and effect systems such as cats-effect.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts across Scala/JVM topics for AI training.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses for correctness and performance.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies and unsafe patterns.
