Future Group Language Solutions in Malaysia seeks a full-time remote Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. You will provide high-quality real-time interpretation between Mandarin and English over the phone (OPI) and via video (VRI) for clients in healthcare, legal, business, customer support and public services.

Maintain neutrality, confidentiality and professionalism, follow client and company guidelines, and stay current with terminology; participate in training to continually improve service quality.

Competenze

• Strong language proficiency, including native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and excellent command of English, with clear, professional verbal communication.
• Demonstrated interpreting skills for OPI and/or VRI, including active listening, rapid comprehension, and accurate, culturally appropriate oral translation.
• Familiarity with sector-specific terminology (e.g., medical, legal, financial, customer service), and the ability to research and learn new vocabulary quickly.
• Technical readiness for remote work, including reliable high-speed internet, a quiet and private workspace, and proficiency with video conferencing and call-center platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including professionalism, empathy, and the ability to remain impartial and calm in sensitive or urgent situations.
• Commitment to confidentiality, adherence to interpreting codes of ethics, and respect for cultural and religious diversity.
• Ability to manage time effectively, handle back-to-back calls, and work independently while meeting performance and quality standards.
• Previous experience as a professional interpreter, language specialist, or in a customer-facing role is preferred; certification or formal training in interpreting is an advantage.
