Job summary

A language services provider is seeking an experienced interpreter for a remote position, focusing on healthcare settings. Candidates should have at least 3 years of interpreting experience, preferably in OPI/VRI, and a National or State Interpreter Certification. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and fluency in English and another language are essential. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality in a dedicated and quiet environment. This is a remote opportunity based in Malaysia, Johor, Batu Pahat.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum of interpreting experience preferable OPI/VRI.
• Knowledgeable command of Medical, Educational, and social services terminology.
• Able to provide fluency test results.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets messages between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers.
• Adheres to National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
