Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in Kuala Lumpur to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. This fully remote, hourly contract role lets you work on your own schedule, 10-40 hours per week, and contribute to training AI systems to think like real developers.

You’ll write clean code across languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript), review AI outputs for correctness and performance, and provide detailed feedback.

Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/JS/Java/C++/Go/TS).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code clearly and precisely.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages/frameworks.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or doesn’t.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your schedule.
