Job summary

Nexus International School Malaysia is seeking a dedicated teaching support role to assist the class teacher with pupil management and classroom operations. You will promote the school vision and contribute to year-group activities to support student attainment.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant education qualification, experience with children in international settings, and a passion for their growth. Availability on an ad-hoc basis and immediacy are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Education/Teaching/Training.
• Able to work with Primary learners (EY - Year 6).
• Experience working with children in an international education setting is preferred.
• Passionate about the growth and development of children.
• Available as and when required on an ad-hoc basis.
• Immediate vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching cover duties and other general support to the class teacher in the management and organization of the pupils and the classrooms.
• Positively share, communicate and promote the school vision, strategic aims and actions relevant to the year group.
• Implement actions based on the school's strategic objectives and policies.
• Ensure planned learning within the class or teaching group based upon children's attainment.
• Work in partnership with the year team, school leaders and parents / carers, to ensure the success of individual children.
• Assist teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• Promote the inclusion of all pupils ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
• Be proactive in preparing resources and take initiative when supporting learning.
• Supervise and manage students in the absence of subject teachers.
