Job summary

A leading manufacturer of specialty electronic components is seeking a Reliability Technician based in Penang. The role involves assisting engineers in reliability activities, performing electronic and acoustical tests, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma in Engineering and strong communication skills. Fresh graduates and experienced technicians are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Junior Technician: Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year of experience.
• Senior Technician: Minimum 3 years experience in related field.
• Associated Engineer: Minimum 5 years experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineer in reliability activities and failure analysis.
• Perform debugging skill and physical analysis on components.
• Conduct various tests to identify product reliability issues.
• Support test data compilation and write failure analysis report.

Skills

Basic knowledge of semiconductor device

Good verbal and written communication skills

Competent in Microsoft office

Education

Certificate/Diploma/Advance Diploma in Engineering

• Assist engineer in reliability activities and failure analysis of Microphone components through variable test and analysis equipment.
• Perform bias board (burn in board) debugging skill and physical analysis on electronic and acoustical components.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and acoustical tests to identify and understand product reliability issues, material, and component failure mechanisms.
• Know-how in reliability stress testing e.g environmental, electrical, mechanical and acoustical stress testing – REL Technician
• Support test data compilation and writing failure analysis report.
• Escalate or highlight data anomaly or failures to engineer (or above).
• Other tasks assigned by Failure Analysis & Reliability Manager.
• To ensure that quality activities performed by incumbent and subordinates (if any) fall in line with MS ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IECQ HSPM QC 080000 procedures

Reporting to : Reliability Section Head or above
