Job summary

KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in line with hospital standards. Qualifications

• Registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid practicing license.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing care in line with the unit's Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives.
• Work shift duties or as assigned by Unit Manager according to Unit’s Operational Hours.
• Inform Unit Manager of changes affecting standards of care.
• Receive and handover patient reports; ensure doctors’ orders are carried out during shift changes.
• Visit each patient with the team to assess condition and re-plan nursing care as needed.
• Provide holistic care using the Nursing Process with proper documentation.
• Report abnormal findings to doctors/consultants.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds to identify additional patient needs and provide emotional support.
• Follow ward rounds and assist doctors with procedures when required.
• Execute doctors’ orders and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Liaise with doctors about patient care; maintain effective communication.
• Attend unit meetings and participate in hospital activities.
• Support health education for patients and families in the ward.
• Assist Unit Manager in administering the unit; act as shift nurse in charge when required.
• Set and maintain quality care standards in the absence of the Unit Manager.
• Ensure proper charging of equipment/consumables; check sterile packs and packaging integrity.
• Maintain adequate unit stock and stock records; participate in quarterly stock counts.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives; monitor policy adherence.
