Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Regional Tax Director to lead our regional tax strategy, governance and compliance across multiple countries. You will work with senior leadership to influence commercial decisions while effectively managing tax risks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 15+ years of taxation experience in financial services, investment management, private equity, banking or a Big Four environment, and strong knowledge of international tax and

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CTA or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of taxation experience within financial services, investment management, private equity, banking or a Big Four environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional tax strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Advise stakeholders on tax implications relating to investments, corporate structures, financing arrangements and regional expansion.
• Provide commercial tax guidance for cross-border transactions and new business initiatives.
• Monitor international tax developments and assess potential business impact.
• Oversee corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing and indirect tax matters across various jurisdictions.
• Ensure timely completion of tax filings, tax provisions, regulatory submissions and transfer pricing documentation.
• Review tax risks and strengthen governance, controls and compliance processes.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors and tax authorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Support regional finance teams by providing technical tax guidance and best practices.
