A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Regional Supply Chain Director to spearhead materials management and inventory strategies across Malaysia and Singapore. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management, with a preference for those with a background in Contract Manufacturing. This role includes strategic sourcing responsibilities and team leadership in a dynamic environment.
Regional Leadership: Spearhead the end-to-end Materials Management, Purchasing, and Inventory strategies across manufacturing sites in Malaysia and Singapore.
Strategic Sourcing: Architect global and local sourcing frameworks to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and mitigate supply chain risks.
Inventory Optimization: Orchestrate demand planning and MRP execution to balance material availability with working capital targets (Inventory Turns).
Operational Excellence: Champion Lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance supply chain agility and reduce lead times.
Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Engineering heads to align material readiness with production schedules and P&L goals.
Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of accountability and regulatory compliance.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business (MBA is an added advantage).
Experience: Minimum 10 years in Supply Chain/Materials Management, with a mandatory background in Contract Manufacturing (CM/EMS).
Leadership: At least 5 years of proven track record in a senior leadership role, preferably managing multi-site or regional operations.
Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Strategic Skills: Strong capability in high-level negotiation, supplier consolidation, and cost reduction strategies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different borders and cultures.
