We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Regional Sales Director cum Malaysia Country Manager to build and lead our business in Malaysia and beyond across the ASEAN region. This is a dual‑role with P&L responsibility, combining hands‑on strategic sales leadership with overall country management.
The ideal candidate will be a player‑coach, capable of personally closing major enterprise deals while building, mentoring, and managing a high‑performing sales team. Your deep understanding of the AI/ML landscape, enterprise software sales cycle, and the local Malaysian business culture will be critical to success.
Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Malaysian market to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Hunter Mentality: Lead from the front by personally driving the end‑to‑end sales cycle for key enterprise accounts, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closure.
Vertical Market Expertise: Leverage deep industry knowledge to drive sales in key verticals, including but not limited to:
Team Building: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high‑performing regional sales team, instilling vertical‑specific sales expertise.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust and accurate sales pipeline, utilizing Microsoft CRM to forecast accurately and manage team performance.
Key Account Management: Identify, target, and secure strategic partnerships with large enterprises across the key verticals mentioned above.
Country Management & Business Operations (20%)
P&L Responsibility: Hold full accountability for the profitability and financial health of the Malaysian entity.
Market Expansion: Represent the company brand in Malaysia, developing market‑entry strategies and identifying new growth opportunities within target industries.
Cross‑Functional Leadership: Collaborate with and leverage central teams including Marketing, Pre‑Sales, Product Manager, Solution Engineering, Data Engineering and Finance to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Local Presence: Establish and foster the company’s reputation as a thought leader in the AI space within the healthcare, education, and energy sectors through networking, industry events, and public speaking.
Compliance & Operations: Ensure all local business operations, legal, and regulatory requirements are met.
