This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and skilled Business Development professional to lead the commercial function of a reputable company who's expertise is in manufacturing premium specialist plastic components for industries which include Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Medical, Automotive.

  • The companies product portfolio includes: machined components in full range of materials; Semi-finished polymer materials including extruded, moulded and sheet & tape; slide bearings, Injection moulding & Seals

As the Head of Business Development for APAC, you will be responsible for driving new and existing customer engagement across the region. Being responsible for the APAC Market, you will manage relationship's to develop new business opportunities, working closely with the production team to ensure operational effectiveness and product quality.

This is a Hybrid role located in Selangor, Malaysia. You will be responsible for market analysis, sales, account management, channel engagement, market expansion, contract reviews whilst ensuring your customers required product standards are met. You will identify new product opportunities and drive revenue growth.

This role requires travel across Asia, engaging with customers face to face is essential to win in this role.

Qualifications

  • Business Planning, Sales, Account Management and Analytical Skills.
  • Experience in Business Development within a Precision Engineering Environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as required to achieve success.
  • Experience in Plastic component sales to Medical, Aerospace, Semi-Conductor, Fluid Management are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a management level position being responsible for overseeing business development activities.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications a plus.
