Job Description
The E-Commerce Director will lead our client’s e-commerce strategy and operations within our media agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing and e-commerce, with a passion for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience. This role will involve collaborating with various teams, including marketing, sales, and analytics, to develop and implement innovative e-commerce solutions that align with our clients’ goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy across Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and importantly to drive growth for client’s business
- Team Management: Local commerce leads will have matrix reporting into this overall lead in terms of overall deliverables for commerce. You will need to lead, mentor, and manage a team of e-commerce professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients across different business units to understand their e-commerce goals and challenges, providing expert advice and tailored solutions. Need to be able to understand the different categories (Snacking and Pet nutrition categories)
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse e-commerce performance metrics, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing, creative, and technical teams to enhance user experience and ensure cohesive messaging across all digital platforms.
- Thought leadership: Be prescient of movements/trends in e-commerce across SEA and develop POV for clients
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement e-commerce technologies and platforms to improve operational efficiency and customer engagement.
- Stakeholder Management: Grow agency relationship with ECOM vendors but not limited to the likes of Shopee/Lazada/TikTok
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or a related field, with a focus on leadership roles.
- Proven track record of driving e-commerce growth and achieving sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
