Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to work with the CEO in leading the group’s operations and administration as a fund manager across Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong.

The role requires 4–5 years of leadership experience in financial services or related industries, a strong university degree, and fluent English. Mandarin is advantageous, with travel to regional offices as needed.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least 4 to 5 years' experience in managing operations and administration in financial services, investment or manufacturing organisations, with a strong university degree.
  • Familiar with fund operations, including trade settlements, unit pricing, fund reconciliation, subscriptions & redemptions, information and portfolio systems, and liaising with third-party service providers.
  • Ability to build organisation and staff capacity, manage and develop a top-notch workforce and processes to ensure smooth operations.
  • High-energy, results-oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities and people at various levels; take charge when needed.
  • Must uphold integrity.
  • Must be fluent in English; knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CEO in managing the operations and administration of the group as a fund manager across Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong.
  • Ensure timely production of products and services, implement cost controls, and execute the strategic plan for the group.
