Our client is an international logistics organisation and they are looking for the following positions:
- Branch Manager (Sales & Operations) - Southern Region, based in Johor Bahru
- Branch Manager (Sales & Operations) - Northern Region, based in Penang
The Branch Manager oversees the overall performance of the branch, with a dualfocus on operational excellence and sales growth. This role is accountable for deliveringefficient logistics services, meeting sales targets, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and ensuring profitability. The Branch Manager leads the team in daily operations, drives newbusiness opportunities, and strengthens relationship with existing customers.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute branch sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop sales team, identify new business opportunities in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients to retain and grow accounts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals, pricing, and service solutions.
- Track sales performance, prepare forecasts, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Branch Operations Management
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and distribution.
- Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations in terms of timeliness, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage, coach, and motivate both sales and operations teams to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct performance reviews, set targets, and create development plans for staff.
- Foster a collaborative and customer-focused branch culture.
- Prepare and manage branch budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Review financial reports regularly and take corrective measures to improve performance.
- Oversee billing, collections, and credit control processes.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in any field.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Freight Forwarding Logistics experience in leading salesgrowth.
- Ability to identify potential market segments.
- Sales experience in related FMCG environment/ Modern Trade / General Trade with managing people experiences.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written. Able to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.
