Job summary

Speedmatrix Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounting Manager to own regional accounting processes and partner with business leaders. You will oversee daily AP/AR/GL, month-end close, intercompany reconciliations and financial reporting across SEA.

The role includes budgeting, rolling forecasts, controls, and audit preparation, with Mandarin language skills preferred for regional collaboration. This position is on site in Kuala Lumpur and offers growth in a high-growth tech environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring a Finance/Accounts team.
• Strong full-set accounting, month-end closing and MFRS knowledge.
• Good experience in intercompany reconciliation and financial reporting.
• ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA is highly advantageous.
• Mandarin proficiency is preferred for communication with regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Accounting: AP, AR, GL and daily accounting operations.
• Closing: Monthly, quarterly and annual close, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Intercompany: Regional intercompany accounting, reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Reporting: P&L, balance sheet, management reporting and financial analysis.
• Business partnering: Expense, gross margin and variance analysis.
• Planning: Budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Controls: Accounting SOPs, approval workflows, documentation and internal controls.
• Audit: Preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors.
• Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the accounting/finance team.
