Medivet Group of Companies in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Radiographer to assist veterinarians in managing daily radiology operations. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure high-quality radiology services with proper safety practices.

The role requires a Diploma in Radiography/Medical Imaging, at least 1 year of experience, and strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. A positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to work extra hours are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and carry out radiological examinations or procedures using X-rays and other imaging modalities.
• Operate medical imaging equipment (X-ray, ultrasound, etc.) with proper techniques and professionalism.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure correct positioning and protocols.
• Handle and restrain animals safely to obtain accurate images and support diagnostic objectives.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing schedules and maintaining patient records.
• Ensure patients are registered and examinations are documented in the computer system.
• Coordinate with reception/administrative staff to schedule examinations as required.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs of radiology equipment and engage qualified suppliers when needed.
• Enforce safety precautions and proper handling of equipment following safety rules.
• Ensure availability of medical consumables for clinic usage and maintain clean radiology suite.
• Support veterinarians and maintain positive working relationships with site staff.

Authority

• Review and sign routine operational documents (e.g., job sheets and invoices) for verification prior to submission to the Head of Department for final approval.
• No authority to approve leave, claims, or other personnel matters.

Objectives

• Radiographer is responsible in assisting veterinarian for managing day to day operations of radiology department through knowledge of safe handling and restraint of animals by performing diagnostic procedures, daily maintenance of radiology equipment’s and ensures the efficient operations of high-quality radiology services.

Job Scope

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• A plan and carry out requested radiological examination or procedures using x-rays and other imaging modalities such as CT scan, ultrasonography, dental radiography & Electrocardiogram/Blood pressure.
• Using medical equipment such as x-ray machine, ultrasound machine, dental machine, electrocardiogram & blood pressure with proper techniques and professionalism.
• Preparing patient for imaging procedures & performing diagnostic procedures by using proper patient positioning followed by establish protocol & practice by the hospital.
• Generally responsible for safe handling, positioning and restraint of animals in order to get the most accurate images.
• Advanced preparation and testing to administrative tasks, such as organizing work schedules and maintaining patient records.
• Ensure that patients are registered and examination are planned and completed in the computer database system.
• Liaises with reception/administrative and coordinate patient examinations as required.
• Maintain/perform minor repairs of medical instruments of x-ray machines and processor when require or on ad-hoc basis, in supporting the maintenance of medical instruments by engaging qualified suppliers.
• Ensure safety precautions are taken and abiding to safety rules and ensuring all equipment are handled with care with safety procedures always.
• Ensure sufficient supply of medical consumables for clinic usage when needed by ensuring medical supplies are available at all times.
• Maintains a positive working relationship and provides support to the site of veterinarians.
• Ensures the radiology suite is clean and presentable at all times.
