Job summary

SUN ROUND TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking an engineer to support R&D, NPI, product development and process engineering from prototype to mass production. You will be involved in prototype tests, production transfer, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field, with 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of NPI, product development, manufacturing processes, and process improvement.
• Familiar with technical drawings, BOM, Process Flow, SOP, and Work Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development from concept to mass production.
• Participate in NPI activities including prototype, pilot run, validation, and production launch.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and production methods.
• Conduct product and process trials and analyze results.
• Support new product transfer from R&D to production.
• Prepare and maintain BOM, drawings, specifications, Process Flow, SOP, and Work Instructions.
• Establish and optimize process parameters.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues during NPI and mass production.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Support productivity, yield, quality, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Conduct material/component evaluation and product testing.
• Support production ramp-up and ensure process readiness.
• Maintain proper R&D and NPI project records and reports.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Materials Science, or a related field.

1–2 years of relevant experiencein R&D, NPI, Product Development, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.

Fresh graduates with relevant engineering qualifications are welcome to apply.

Basic knowledge of NPI, product development, manufacturing processes, and process improvement.

Familiar with technical drawings, BOM, Process Flow, SOP, and Work Instructions.

Knowledge of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, Control Plan, RCA, and process validation is an advantage.

Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Willing to work hands‑on with production, prototype, testing, and process trials.

Willing to support NPI projects and production troubleshooting when required.

Provide daily administrative and operational support to the sales team.

Prepare sales quotations, sales orders, invoices, and related documents.

Handle customer inquiries and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely responses.

Follow up on customer orders, delivery schedules, and outstanding matters.

Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, and documentation.

Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and management updates.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Support sales activities, customer meetings, and business documentation preparation.

Support customer audits by coordinating audit schedules, preparing required documents, and liaising with relevant departments.

Maintain proper filing and documentation control according to company procedures.

Requirements

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with no prior working experience are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.

Candidates with an engineering background who are interested in developing a career in sales support, customer coordination, and business operations are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in sales administration, sales coordination, customer service, or the manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
