• Proficient in relevant computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quantity take-offs and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and project progress monitoring.
• Liaise with site personnel and the purchasing department for material requisitions.
• Conduct site measurements and evaluate variations.
• Prepare subcontractors’ claims and final accounts.

About the role

Perkasa Tinggi Sdn Bhd, a leading construction firm based in Kajang, Selangor, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor, either at the Junior or Senior level, to join our dynamic team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects by managing costs, valuations, and contractual obligations.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for quantity take-offs and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents, monitoring project progress, and preparing progress reports and claims for clients and subcontractors.
• Assist in reviewing and updating material costs and overall project budgets.
• Liaise with site personnel and the purchasing department regarding material requisitions.
• Liaise with consultants on matters related to contract administration.
• Source, evaluate, and select subcontractors, including preparation and administration of subcontract documentation.
• Conduct site measurements, evaluate variations, and carry out re-measurement of works.
• Prepare subcontractors’ claims, progress claims, variation claims, and final accounts.

What we"re looking for

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year (Junior) / 4 years (Senior) experience in a construction firm.
• Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to meet company KPIs.
• Willing to travel and work at outstation sites when required.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills with sound contract administration knowledge.
• Detail-oriented, good time management, and proficient in relevant computer applications.
