Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the cost analysis and financial aspects of our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, with exceptional knowledge of construction methodologies, material costs, and industry trends.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  • Procure or agree to the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
  • Measure and value the work done on-site and submit detailed progress reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
  • Manage the costs and budget of a project from inception to completion.
  • Negotiate and advise on procurement strategy.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations in all aspects of project management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction procurement, contract negotiation, risk management, and cost analysis.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including clients, architects, and engineers.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
