Overview
💼 We are seeking a highly motivated Quality & Warehouse Engineer to lead the implementation and maintenance of our quality management system (QMS) and oversee warehouse operations within our automotive manufacturing plant. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with ISO9001 / IATF16949, managing internal and customer audits, and strengthening the link between quality control and material management.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & System Leadership
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO9001 / IATF16949) for the plant.
- Plan, execute, and report on internal, process, and product audits.
- Represent the company during customer and third-party audits.
- Prepare and approve APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and MSA documentation.
- Manage customer complaints using 8D methodology; ensure timely closure and lessons learned.
- Track and drive Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction initiatives.
- Conduct quality training and awareness programs across departments.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch activities to ensure FIFO and traceability.
- Verify material consistency between purchase orders, delivery notes, and system data.
- Manage nonconforming material area, maintain segregation and status visibility.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and analysis of stock discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Production to optimize safety stock and material flow.
Reporting & Coordination
- Report directly to the Operation Manager on QMS and warehouse performance.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supplier quality teams for process improvement.
- Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement within the operation team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years experience in Quality or Warehouse operation within the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO9001 / IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, 8D, and audit processes.
- Strong analytical mindset and leadership in audit readiness and process improvement.
- Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken).
- ERP system experience is an added advantage.
