A prominent manufacturing firm in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and control processes. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Science or Technology, 20 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least 8 years in management roles. Responsibilities include ensuring manufacturing compliance with quality standards, conducting audits, and leading quality improvement initiatives. Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Mandarin, are essential for client interactions.
Delivering custom busbars and assemblies for electrification, energy storage, and electronics, with vertically integrated operations across the U.S., Mexico, China, Malaysia, and Tunisia.
WORKING DAYS: 5
Assure that products are manufactured following the correct quality plan, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
Organize and prepare documents related to production operations and product quality, and ensure their implementation.
Investigate quality problems and take corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Responsible for supplier quality control, including supplier qualification audits and quality inspection/tracking of incoming materials.
Handle non-conforming products across all production processes.
Manage QC daily routines, such as inspection methods, calibration of inspection instruments, and document/record management.
Provide guidance and support for QC activities and quality decision-making.
Assist in the development of potential suppliers or contractors from a quality perspective.
Conduct pre-production audits in accordance with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) requirements.
Conduct audits against various inspection standards.
Develop systems and plans to improve product quality control.
Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) for quality management according to customer requirements.
Promote customer satisfaction through execution of improvement plans and completion of monthly department KPI reports.
Responsible for monthly and annual customer quality assessments, analysis, and department KPI reporting.
Provide QA & QC education and training for operators, QC inspectors, and technicians.
Act as Management Representative (MR) for the General Manager, with the following responsibilities:
To ensure effectively implement quality and environmental system and fully compliance with ISO &TS requirement.
Cooperate with other departments, arrange internal audit.
Implement internal audit and improvement.
Ensure well prepared quality and environmental systems at any time for external audit.
Ensure the implementation of corrective action for the finding from internal and external audit.
Plan and preside quality and environmental system review meeting, implementation of various quality and environmental system resolution.
Reject any the actions that can not solve the current problems.
