Job summary

Continental in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to ensure ISO 9001 compliance, drive the QMS across the plant and apply quality tools to boost product quality and process performance, with a focus on the tire building process.

You will decide on the status of finished tires, lead cross-functional quality initiatives with Production, Engineering, PI and PO, and have authority to stop production if a process creates poor quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Quality, preferably within tire, automotive, rubber, or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferably able to lead problem solving.
• Experience in leading production quality management and defect analysis.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
• Mandatory: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with shop floor employees, conduct investigations, provide quality guidance, and support operational activities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in driving quality initiatives and leading cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.

Ensure compliance with the Internal Audit System, ISO9001 requirements, applicable legal regulations, and technical compliance standards within the plant. Drive the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality-related tools to enhance product quality, process performance, and overall operational excellence.

For Quality Assurance Role
Ensure that the Quality Standards are followed within the area of responsibility at OTR Area - Tire Building Process. Decide on the status of suspicious Components based on POMS document. Drive the effective implementation and continuous improvement and quality-related tools to enhance product quality, process performance, and overall operational excellence.

Ensures that the Quality Standards are followed within the area of responsibility at OTR Building, Curing , Final Finishing and Cured Tire Yield.
1. Decide on the status of finished tires (release, rework and scrap) at Final Finishing
2. Final Finish Quality Assurance role
3. Work cross functionally with Production, Engineering, PI, PO related to quality issue
