A leading technology manufacturer located in Penang is seeking a motivated PQE / SQE / CQE Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering. The role involves supporting product/process quality assurance, coordinating supplier quality, and handling customer complaints. INV New Material Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a company specializing in the manufacturing of lithium battery separators. We are the first lithium battery separator factory in the ASEAN region, located at Penang Technology Park @ Bertam, supporting new energy and electric vehicle industries with advanced materials and manufacturing capabilities.
We are looking for a motivated PQE / SQE / CQE Engineer with 3–5 years’ experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for quality system support, product/process quality assurance, and supplier or customer liaison to help ensure that product quality meets both internal and external requirements.
Support process quality control activities, monitor production quality performance and implement improvements.
Assist in implementation of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and corrective/preventive actions.
Help develop inspection standards, process documentation, and conduct quality data analysis.
Coordinate with suppliers to monitor incoming material quality and improvement follow-ups.
Assist in material inspection activities and ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
Support material complaints and supplier corrective actions when required.
Assist with customer complaint handling, investigation, and resolution.
Support failure analysis (FA) activities and prepare quality reports.
Participate in internal and supplier audits as needed.
Maintain quality documentation, reports, and records.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional quality meetings.
Support root cause analysis and ensure corrective action follow-through.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Polymer, or Quality Management) or equivalent.
3–5 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or process quality in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP is advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
