Job summary

Standard Chartered Malaysia is seeking a QA engineer to drive both manual and automated testing across Java applications, REST services, and mobile platforms (iOS/Android). You will design test cases, execute them, and log defects in Azure DevOps, ensuring high quality releases.

Work with product owners, developers and other testers in a fast-paced, agile environment, contribute to test planning, grooming sessions, and retrospectives, and uphold SCB's software quality standards and governance.

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of software testing experience performing manual testing and automation.
• Proficiency with Selenium Java and Cucumber or equivalent BDD framework.
• Testing experience for Java apps with Web Services (REST/SOAP) and Oracle DB.
• Mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues in requirements, design specs, architecture and docs before testing.
• Attend Daily Stand Up to report task progress and blockers.
• Participate in User Story grooming sessions with Product Owner for estimation.
• Develop automation test scripts from validated manual tests.
• Execute functional and technical tests, including automated tests where applicable.
• Log defects in Azure DevOps and track to closure.
