Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in hospital or healthcare quality roles.
  • Experience in QA, Quality Management, Patient Safety, Accreditation, or Healthcare Compliance.
  • Experience with hospital audits, RCA, CAPA, and quality indicator monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the hospital’s QMS in line with the hospital’s vision and standards.
  • Oversee QA, Patient Safety, IPC, Risk Management, and CQI functions.
  • Coordinate accreditation, licensing, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Job description

Lead and coordinate the hospital’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with the hospital’s vision, mission, strategic objectives, and healthcare quality standards.

Oversee healthcare quality functions including Quality Assurance (QA), Patient Safety, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), Risk Management, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).

Coordinate and support hospital accreditation, licensing, regulatory compliance, internal and external audits, and related quality requirements.

Monitor hospital quality indicators, patient safety indicators, clinical and operational performance, and departmental improvement activities.

Analyze quality and patient safety data, identify trends and gaps, and prepare reports and recommendations for Management.

Work closely withclinical and non-clinical department heads to identify quality issues and implement corrective and improvement actions.

Promote a strong culture of patient safety, quality improvement, compliance, and service excellence across the hospital.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, statutory requirements, accreditation standards, and relevant healthcare regulations.

Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal quality audits, tracer activities, compliance assessments, and departmental reviews.

Assist inincident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA),and follow-up monitoring.

Coordinate quality-related meetings, committees, accreditation activities, and hospital-wide improvement projects.

Develop and facilitate quality, patient safety, infection control, and compliance training for hospital staff.

Supervise, guide, and mentor quality team members where applicable.

Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Allied Health, Biomedical Science, Public Health, Quality Management, or a related healthcare discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, with experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Patient Safety, Accreditation, or Healthcare Compliance.

Candidates with experience in hospital accreditation, MSQH, MOH/KKM requirements, licensing, healthcare regulatory compliance, or hospital quality management systems will have an added advantage.

Strong understanding of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, CQI, risk management, and clinical/operational quality improvement.

Experience in conducting hospital audits, incident investigations, RCA, CAPA, quality indicator monitoring, and improvement projects.

Experience working with clinical departments and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

Good communication, presentation, report writing, and facilitation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality data analysis.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, coach, and influence staff at different levels.

Able to work independently and manage multiple quality and accreditation activities within a hospital environment.
