Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards, oversee halal certification processes, and lead initiatives to maintain and improve product quality in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of QA systems in compliance with Halal, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards.
  • Act as the company’s Halal Executive, ensuring full compliance with JAKIM requirements, managing Halal certification renewals and maintaining all related documentation.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including supplier audits, Halal inspections and ISO audits; prepare audit documentation and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings related to food safety, preparing accurate minutes for documentation.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in maintaining the integrity of the Food Safety Management System.
  • Monitor and verify production process flows to ensure compliance with food safety principles and quality standards.
  • Serve as Hygiene Officer, conducting internal audits to uphold cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure all practices align with documented food safety procedures and standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints, prepare detailed reports and coordinate with the sales department to implement timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct inspections of raw material receipt to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  • Enforce hygienic practices among all employees and visitors within the manufacturing plant.
  • Monitor and analyze QA performance metrics; report findings and recommend corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with production, R&D and procurement teams to ensure raw materials, processes and finished goods meet quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and deliver quality training programs for production and QA personnel.
  • Review and maintain SOPs, quality manuals and product specifications.
  • Investigate product complaints and non-conformities by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related field.
