Job Purpose
Quality assurance (QA) Executive responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services produced by the company. Oversees the manufacturing of products, involved in every stage of making a product from development and manufacturing to packaging.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Advises QA Manager and facility management of issues in a timely manner.
- Evaluates incoming ingredients, work in process products, and finished goods.
- Places items on hold that do not meet specifications such as incoming material, work in process, or finished goods. Presents reasons for retention and recommends possible solutions.
- Inspects and calibrates equipment used in the lab. Reports non‑compliance findings and recommends next steps to QA Manager and facility management promptly. Complies with and enforces GLPs, GMP, Safety Practices, etc. Demonstrates and enforces the importance of GMP and monitors diligently. Follows up with necessary corrective actions when not followed.
- Reviews, interprets, verifies, and summarizes data collected from other departments. Reports any deficiencies to QA Manager in a timely manner.
- Collects and analyzes samples according to Quality Assurance Procedures at specified frequency, ensuring results are within specified ranges and completed/recorded promptly.
- Assures compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all operations and processes.
- Actively participates to assure cross‑functional issues are resolved and plant concerns are addressed. Organizes and files processing records.
- Promotes safety in the work area by understanding and complying with safety procedures and reporting all accidents promptly.
- Conducts product tests and takes immediate action to correct products that are out of specification. Documents accurately.
- Demonstrates and enforces the importance of Critical Control Points (CCPs) and rigorously monitors. Follows up with necessary actions to eliminate deviations.
- Makes important observations about product, packaging, equipment, and environment. Takes appropriate actions to correct anything that is not up to company or third‑party regulations.
- Monitors all equipment settings to ensure they are correct and accurately records findings.
- Coordinates customer visits and audits.
- Trains line leads to be primary QA technician backup in their absence.
- Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirement
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Management graduates or any related studies.
- Must have typhoid injection card.
- Must be willing to do shift work.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to tolerate working in an environment that contains flour dust.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to details, self‑driven, ability to deal with ambiguity, good communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at any given time in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality Systems and their application within food processing (bakery).
Good To Have
- Food handling certificate (preferred).
- Halal training certificate (preferred).
