A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a Quality Management Specialist to coordinate and improve its Quality Management System (QMS). Job description

Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949). This role involves implementing and improving quality processes, conducting internal & external audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Responsibilities
  1. QMS Maintenance & Improvement:
    • Maintain and update the QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
    • Coordinate and conduct internal/external audits to assess QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Analyze audit findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
    • Coordinate management reviews to evaluate QMS performance.
    • Support the implementation of new quality initiatives and projects.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
    • Monitor and interpret changes in relevant standards and regulations.
    • Assist in the preparation for and participation in customer and regulatory audits.
    • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in quality management.
  3. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and report on quality data (e.g., internal audit results).
    • Prepare and present reports to management on the status of the QMS.
    • Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends and root causes of quality issues.
  4. Training & Communication:
    • Conduct training sessions for employees on QMS procedures and requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization on quality-related issues.
Position Requirements

Experience: > 5 years of experience working within a QMS environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong understanding of quality management principles and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., spreadsheets, statistical software).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using a QMS software (if applicable).

Special Requirement: Master in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certification.
