Requirements
- Degree in Food technology or related science background.
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in the Food Industry.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to converse and write in both Malay and English.
- Good analytical skills and proactive attitude.
- Good documentation practice.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.

Position Summary
Assisting the QA Manager in the implementation and maintenance of Food Safety & Quality Standards, supervising and coordinating a team of QA Assistants engaged in the inspection and testing of daily production and equipment. Directs the QA team in quality assurance inspection and testing to ensure that food safety and regulatory standards are met, and develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.

Principal Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations and activities of the QA team engaged in inspecting raw material and finished products to ensure adherence to food safety & quality standards.
- Assist the QA Manager in organizing, program design, policy, and procedure formulation and facilities for the entire quality and food safety function.
- Ensure that products are produced in a clean & hygienic environment.
- Control and monitor both internal and external quality services provided by people engaged in these activities.
- Coordinate with the QA Manager, technical representatives, suppliers and customers in the planning and review of quality assurance & quality control.
- Administer a continuous program of review and analysis to audit the quality and food safety results.
- Provide technical guidance and work in close liaison with managers of departments involved in group projects.
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated to the standards.
- Maintain lab consumables inventories.
- Conduct hold reconciliation on a weekly basis and align SAP, Excel file and actual item on hold.
- Maintain the foreign material risk assessment, analyses trend and communicate to the food safety team.
- Report all non-conformance detected during production to the QA Manager and ensure the corrective and corrective action are initiated according to procedure.
- Complete weekly, monthly reports and submit on time.
- Support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive measures.
- Lead product evaluation on a weekly basis.
- Conduct plant audit, internal audit and any other food safety inspection required.
- Assist in training, coaching, mentoring, empowering and developing team members, coordinating team involvement activities to drive continuous quality improvement process.
- Other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager.
