Job summary

A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking a QAQC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control on projects. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, conducting inspections, and managing quality records. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and preferably some experience in QAQC roles. Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a QA/QC role.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients on quality issues in the absence of senior management.
• Ensure QAQC procedures are implemented at project sites.
• Carry out QC inspections at inspection and test points.
• Follow through on NCRs and complaints for corrective actions.
• Ensure proper implementation of project execution plan through audits.
• Control, monitor, and maintain Project Quality Record System.
• Report on quality performance into QAQC Monthly Report.
• Prepare Pre-CPC Inspection Report and verify rectification methods.
• Conduct workers’ induction for quality requirements implementation.
• Monitor CPC and DLP defects rectification according to standards.
• Maintain proper record keeping in the server.
• Train and lead subordinates in achieving quality objectives.
• Perform any ad hoc duties assigned by management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• To liaise with clients on all quality issues in the absence of the QA/QC Manager/ Assistant QAQC Manager/ Senior QAQC Engineer.
• To ensure all QAQC procedures as defined in relevant Quality Control Plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) are implemented accordingly at project sites.
• To carry out QC inspections at every inspection and test point documented in the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) relevant to the project.
• To follow through on all NCRs and complaints and ensure relevant corrective actions and preventive measures are in line with project quality and standard requirement.
• To ensure proper implementation of project execution plan and all related documentation on site through periodic audits.
• To be responsible to control, monitor and maintain Project Quality Record System established for all projects assigned.
• To report on the quality performance of assigned project into QAQC Monthly Report.
• To prepare Pre-CPC Inspection Report at the end of project and review and verify rectification method to obtain Client acceptance.
• To conduct workers induction / mock-up or briefing consistently to ensure proper implementation of quality requirements.
• To monitor and verify CPC and DLP defects are rectified according to relevant standard quality requirements and specifications.
• Ensure proper record keeping in server is updated and maintained at all times.
• To oversee, train and lead subordinates in achieving quality objectives.
• To perform any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the Management.
