A manufacturing company in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections according to specifications. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in a relevant field and have 1-2 years of quality inspection experience. Responsibilities include supporting QA engineers, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills are essential for this role.
Perform in-process, final inspections, and machine buyoff checks in accordance with customer specifications and internal quality requirements.
Support QA Engineers in the evaluation and tracking of nonconformities by collecting accurate inspection data, test results, and defect evidence.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of inspection results, nonconformities, and quality checklists.
Assist in verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions by re-checking parts, processes, or machines after implementation.
Provide timely updates to QA Engineers and production teams on inspection findings, defects, or process deviations.
Work closely with FOL to inspect and verify outgoing parts and materials against specifications, escalating issues when nonconformities are detected.
Support internal audits by preparing inspection records, calibration records, and other quality documentation as required.
Follow established quality standards, work instructions, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Assist in maintaining and calibrating inspection tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy of results.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on recurring quality issues or inspection challenges.
Undertake other duties and responsibilities assigned by QA Engineers or Supervisors, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
