Job description

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Key Responsibilities & Job Functions:
QA ENGINEER
  • Ensure tools and equipment calibration are carried out as per schedule (internal & external).
  • Follow up on customers' complaints and warranty claims related to quality issues and organize countermeasures.
  • Be an APQP team member in charge of establishing inspection methods for raw materials in and up to finish goods until mass production.
  • Prepare reports on new material testing and new supplier testing whenever necessary.
  • Involve in new product, process and measurement development.
  • Set up an inspection agreement for raw materials with the supplier.
  • In charge of lab activities i.e. part testing, new document testing.
  • Have the authority and responsibility to stop the production line whenever a problem is detected.
  • Actively participate in internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for upkeep and maintaining document control.
  • Prepare monthly KPI for the Quality Department.
QC ENGINEER
  • Lead the team by giving training and guidance to solve the quality issues that happened in the production.
  • Responsible and team lead for quality judgment (Incoming, In-process, Outgoing), proper containment action and disposal standard procedure.
  • Determine the acceptability and approval of products (defect-free).
  • Set limit sample approval for production uses.
  • Implement cost improvement reduction while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Issue, monitor and follow up on the Quality Problem Solving Document (QPSD) effectiveness implementation of countermeasures and preventive action.
  • Evaluate current quality activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Actively participate in improvement trials and prepare quality reports of the results.
  • Have the authority and responsibility to stop the production line whenever a problem is detected.
  • Attend to all customers' complaints and ensure that the corrective action has been implemented effectively.
  • Assist in setting quality standards and monitoring the quality control.
  • Verify all the tools and equipment are calibrated and in good condition for use.
  • Prepare the MSA and SPC of the product following customers' standards and requirements.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with audit processes (internal, supplier, and customer audits).
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to analyze quality data and handle non-conformance and corrective actions (8D, 5Why, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, aggressive, result-oriented, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
