Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Assistant Manager to lead our quality function and ensure our process equipment and machineries meet applicable standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
This role is responsible for development of our TQMS, ensuring robust inspection and test practices, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer, statutory, and international standard requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Company’s TQMS (ISO 9001 preferred);
- Develop and implement inspection & test plans (ITP), quality plans, checklists, and records;
- Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspections for mechanical/electrical assemblies;
- Plan and coordinate FAT/SAT, customer inspections, and third-party inspections: ensure complete traceability and documentation readiness;
- Manage NCRs, root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why/Fishbone), and CAPA: verify effectiveness and prevent recurrence;
- Manage supplier quality: evaluations, audits, and vendor quality performance;
- Oversee calibration control for measuring instruments and inspection tools: maintain compliance records;
- Conduct internal audits, support external audits, and lead preparation for customer quality assessments;
- Partner with Engineering, Production, and Project teams to embed quality early (risk reviews, lessons learned, and process improvements);
- Lead, mentor, and develop the QA/QC team: promote a strong quality culture on the shopfloor.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical);
- 5 - 10+ years in QA/QC roles in manufacturing environment, including team leadership (automotive / process equipment / machinery industry preferred);
- Working knowledge of ISO-based systems and documentation control;
- Experience with quality deliverables such as: ITP, QP, MDR, inspection reports, FAT packs;
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills (customers, auditors, vendors, production teams);
- Proficient in reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement approaches;
- Exposure to relevant codes/standards (is added advantage): EN, ISO, CE marking documentation, etc.
