Job summary

A leading food manufacturing firm in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to monitor food safety and quality assurance programs. The role includes managing Critical Control Points and supporting audits. Candidates must possess a degree in Food Science or related fields, with 2+ years of QA/QC experience preferred. Familiarity with HACCP and other food regulations is essential. Competitive salary starting at RM2.2K, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC roles within the food manufacturing sector preferred.
• HACCP training or certification preferred.
• Familiar with FSSC 22000, GMP, VHM, QMS, and Food Regulations 1985.

Job description

Responsibility: To ensure effective execution of food safety and quality assurance programs on the production floor; to monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), Operational PRPs (OPRSs), hygiene, labeling, and documentation; to act as the shift-level QA representative for production zones (clean area, dirty area, and morning shift) and to support issue escalation, corrective actions, traceability, and internal/external audit preparation.

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC roles within the food manufacturing sector preferred. Salary RM2.2K and above depending on the qualification and experience.
• HACCP training or certification preferred.
• Familiar with FSSC 22000, GMP, VHM, QMS, and Food Regulations 1985.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, documentation and reporting skills.
