A manufacturing company based in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to conduct root cause analysis, maintain quality records, and collaborate cross-functionally. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 1-5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate is proficient in quality tools and methodologies, and familiar with ISO standards. This role offers a dynamic work environment focused on quality improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis and lead Corrective / Preventive Action (CAPA) for internal, supplier, or customer quality issues.
Apply problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA and etc.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce scrap / rework.
Maintain and update quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action reports.
Support the creation of documentation such as Work Instruction, Process Flow, SOP Standards and etc.
Track quality KPIs and generate regular reports for management review.
Work closely with production, engineering, tooling, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) to ensure quality is built into design and process planning.
Assist in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and etc).
Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
Support supplier quality activities and incoming inspection processes (e.g., plating process, cleaning process, treatment process, and etc.)
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with organizational abilities and responsibilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Equivalent Certification, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
1 ~ 5 years of QA experience in a precision metal stamping or related manufacturing environment.
Experience with quality tools and methodologies
Proficient in engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with inspection tools (VMS Machine, Micrometres, Callipers, Height Gauge, and etc.).
Experience / or familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality standards.
Experience / or familiarity with tooling design or stamping die processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and / or others.
