  • Support open market sourcing for COTS parts.
  • Release purchase orders per system-generated requisitions.
  • Monitor material delivery according to SIOP plan.

Purchasing Specialist

Gelang Patah, Johor, Malaysia

Responsibilities
  • Support current workload on Q4 acute shortages & ensure Q1 material supply is secured.
  • Perform administrative tasks: SAP tasks / updates (PIR/SL update, DR for NPI, QIR review), excel tracking/price comparison, send RFQ / download drawings, etc.
  • Support open market sourcing for COTS parts to connect supply.
  • Possibly extend into less challenging suppliers’ management (bulk part replenishment, etc).
  • Work closely with Production Planner on demand requirement.
  • Release purchase orders per system‑generated purchase requisitions and ensure all purchase orders are delivered on time.
  • Proactively monitor material delivery according to SIOP plan to ensure no material shortage impact to production.
  • Attend daily production meetings to communicate material issues and advise action items.
  • Perform weekly inventory monitoring to ensure all raw material inventory targets are achieved.
  • Supplier performance tracking and management.
  • Review E&O and manage LTB activities to minimize obsolescence risk.
  • Streamline processes and drive continuous improvement in performance and customer/employee satisfaction.
