Job summary

A leading food company in Malaysia is looking for a proactive Purchaser to manage sourcing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will ensure timely purchasing of raw materials and packaging, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain accurate purchase records. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles preferred.

Darafood Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser to manage our sourcing, procurement, and stock replenishment activities. The ideal candidate will ensure timely purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and supplies to support our daily production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality materials.

Prepare and process purchase orders, delivery orders, and related documents.

Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment for production needs.

Coordinate with production, warehouse, and finance teams on material requirements.

Track delivery schedules, follow up with suppliers, and resolve any supply issues.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies and food safety/halal requirements.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

1–2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles preferred.

Fresh graduates with strong interest in purchasing are encouraged to apply.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with basic inventory or procurement systems.

Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
