Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage purchase activities and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Post Graduate Diploma and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay. Responsibilities include maintaining purchase documents, reviewing supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Candidates should have ERP and Microsoft Office skills, with a preference for individuals with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of related working experience.
  • Preferably Senior Executive specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management.
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all company purchase documents.
  • Handle local and overseas purchase activities.
  • Source reliable suppliers offering good quality, service, delivery, and reasonable pricing.
  • Review supplier performance periodically.
  • Ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with forwarding agents for smooth customs clearance.
  • Manage Import Duty Exemption and related documents.
  • Prepare Supplier Monthly Evaluation Reports.
  • Issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers.
  • Source RoHS materials and manage compliance.

Review supplier performance periodically.

Ensure materials are delivered on time.

Coordinate with forwarding agents for smooth customs clearance procedures.

Manage Import Duty Exemption (MIDA), Sales Tax License (CJ5), and related documents with government authorities.

Prepare Supplier Monthly Evaluation Reports to monitor performance.

Issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers.

Request and receive suppliers’ updated ICP records.

Source RoHS materials to eliminate non‑RoHS items.

Request and receive suppliers’ RoHS self‑audit check sheets and address any RoHS/environmental issues.

Send NCRs to suppliers and follow up on corrective/preventive actions for non‑conforming materials.

Implement ISO Environmental Quality Management System, RoHS Compliance, 5S, and support departmental KPI achievement.

Requirements

Minimum qualification: Post Graduate Diploma or above.

Required languages: English, Mandarin, Malay.

Preferably Chinese‑speaking.

At least 2–3 years of related working experience.

Willing to work in Balakong, Seri Kembangan area.

Preferably Senior Executive specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
