A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a candidate to manage supply chain operations, including conducting product research and sourcing suppliers. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, performing inventory inspections, and coordinating deliveries to ensure timely and efficient operations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
  • Source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
  • Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends.
  • Inspect stock and report faulty items or inconsistencies.
  • Update and maintain records of orders, payments and received stock.
  • Coordinate with delivery teams and follow up on delays.
  • Establish relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure stock is packaged properly and delivered on time.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other data.
  • Schedule and expedite deliveries, resolving any issues.
  • Ensure products and supplies are of high quality.
  • Maintain and update supplier lists and their qualifications.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

To assist the Superior in departmental daily operational and monthly reports.

  • Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies and stock as necessary.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
  • Inspect stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
  • Update and maintain records of all orders, payments and received stock.
  • Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
  • Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data.
  • Schedule, expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are of high quality.
  • Maintain and update the list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times and potential future development.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the HOD & Management from time to time.
  • Execute any other job assignment by Management from time to time.
