PEM Fasteners (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is a leading precision manufacturing company specializing in innovative fastening solutions used across global industries. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to support our supply chain operations, ensure efficient procurement processes, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for commodity assigned.
  • Maintain relationships with existing vendors while developing new supplier networks.
  • Request, review and analyze quotation to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Prepare PO and ensure timely approval and release, monitor order progress, delivery schedule and resolve delays with suppliers. Work with WH to ensure adequate stock level.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms and contract to optimize cost saving. Support procurement budget and cost reduction targets. Track expenses for compliance.
  • Comply with company policies and ISO/quality standard. Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts and agreements. Support Audit and compliance requirement.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluation on quality, delivery and reliability.
  • Match invoices and goods received before submitting to finance department.
  • Prepare purchasing reports (cost savings, supplier performance, price trends).
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (preferably in a manufacturing industry).
  • Language Requirement: Preferred candidate who can speak and write in Mandarin, as the role requires frequent communication with suppliers from China.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier negotiation, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
