Job description
Purchasing Executive (Category Manager, food, non-food)
  • Conduct market research and identify supermarkets customer needs in line with company standards
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers, compare commercial offers, and secure supply contracts according to company policies
  • Negotiate purchase prices in accordance with the company’s product matrix
  • Select and manage product assortments based on established guidelines
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure product quality
  • Manage the supply chain to optimize logistics, minimize wastage due to expiry or outdated products, and maintain healthy stock levels in stores
  • Continuously track and analyze competitor supermarket pricing
  • Execute tasks promptly as assigned by the Head of Purchasing Department
Requirements
  • Fast learner with strong information absorption skills
  • Responsible, goal-oriented, and energetic, with the ability to defend your position in supplier negotiations
  • Experience in purchasing and sales within the retail industry
  • Flexible decision-making skills with strong analytical, forecasting, and planning abilities
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and work confidently with Excel, 1C, and Google Sheets
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a chain store environment. Experience with food products is an advantage
