Purchasing Executive (Category Manager, food, non-food)
- Conduct market research and identify supermarkets customer needs in line with company standards
- Source and evaluate new suppliers, compare commercial offers, and secure supply contracts according to company policies
- Negotiate purchase prices in accordance with the company’s product matrix
- Select and manage product assortments based on established guidelines
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure product quality
- Manage the supply chain to optimize logistics, minimize wastage due to expiry or outdated products, and maintain healthy stock levels in stores
- Continuously track and analyze competitor supermarket pricing
- Execute tasks promptly as assigned by the Head of Purchasing Department
Requirements
- Fast learner with strong information absorption skills
- Responsible, goal-oriented, and energetic, with the ability to defend your position in supplier negotiations
- Experience in purchasing and sales within the retail industry
- Flexible decision-making skills with strong analytical, forecasting, and planning abilities
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage large volumes of data and work confidently with Excel, 1C, and Google Sheets
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a chain store environment. Experience with food products is an advantage
