Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall Purchasing Department performance in meeting company goals and objectives.
  • Source, negotiate, and purchase materials from local and overseas vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure alignment with technical and commercial specifications required for the customer’s requirement.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on purchasing Terms & Conditions.
  • Manage daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
  • Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors.
  • Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time, and best prices, ensuring all criteria are met according to organizational requirements and expectations.
  • Implement internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements.
  • Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related industry.
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
  • Hands‑on experience with purchasing software (e.g., Procurify or SpendMap).
  • Familiarity with supply chain procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills.
