Qualifications
- Posses a Diploma/ Degree a in Engineering or its equivalent.
- Able to plan, organise, source, negotiate and purchase materials for the workshop.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- To assist the Purchasing Manager in the day to day purchasing matters in the Company.
- To assist the Purchasing Manager to source, negotiate with suppliers and purchase materials for steel fabrication works.
- To coordinate technical clarification with engineers to ensure quotation complies and meets the requirement stated in material requisition.
- To prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Logistic arrangement for all ordered materials and finished products.
- Responsible for inventory control, store management and store supervision.
- Liaise with Government Departments such as Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA)/MITI on licences/permits and Malaysian Royal Customs for the application of tax exemption on import duties and sales tax as well as other relevant Authorities as required.
