A leading energy company in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing and purchasing activities. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Admin or Supply Chain Management, with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, and English is essential. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate management of purchase orders. Suitable candidates should also exhibit strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

Source materials and negotiate prices, manage contracts
Oversee projects and tenders to ensure timely procurement.
Handle daily purchasing tasks such as processing purchase requests, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, conducting open bids, comparing options, preparing purchase approvals, and processing payments for review and approval by management.
Manage purchase orders and payments, ensuring accuracy in terms of shipping, delivery, and pricing.
Issue purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable payment terms.
Coordinate with suppliers to track order progress, manage shipment clearances, and resolve urgent matters when they arise.
Utilize effective negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, advantageous if with in the glass manufacturing industry experiences
Ability to speak and write fluently in Mandarin, Malay, and English.
Required Mandarin languages skills to communicate with both internal & external parties
Able to perform overtime to troubleshoot urgent/emergency matters.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of parts and equipment/machinery used in glass manufacturing is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word.
