A prominent procurement company in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts. Candidates should have a Diploma in a related field and at least 1 year of experience in procurement. Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; proficiency in Chinese is a plus. The role involves preparing documentation for payments and maintaining accurate records, with a willingness to travel as needed.
Coordinate all purchasing activities including order tracking, delivery scheduling, and status monitoring.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records using internal tracking systems.
Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable pricing and terms.
Prepare and compile all necessary documentation such as Delivery Orders (DO), Invoices, Purchase Orders (PO), and Purchase Requisitions (PR) for Goods Receipt (GR) entry in the system.
Submit complete documentation to the accounts department for timely payment processing.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure quality and compliance.
Generate and submit monthly purchasing reports to management.
Support ad-hoc assignments and tasks as required by the management team.
