Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing goods and services needed by the company. This role ensures the smooth flow of supplies, manages vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, and controls budgets to maintain cost-effectiveness. Collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers to source quality products, optimize purchasing processes, and ensure timely deliveries to meet operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Supplier Selection:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
  • Conduct market research to source new materials, suppliers, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a network of suppliers to ensure access to competitive pricing and quality products.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet company requirements and optimize procurement processes.
Procurement Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including placing purchase orders, tracking delivery schedules, and managing inventory levels.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of materials.
Vendor Relationship Management:
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous supply and smooth operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery times, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier contracts and performance to ensure ongoing compliance and to identify areas for improvement.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
  • Manage and track procurement budgets to ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation and sourcing strategies while maintaining product quality.
  • Regularly review procurement data and supplier costs to ensure purchases align with the company’s financial goals.
Inventory Management and Coordination:
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, avoiding overstock or stockouts.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to manage supply chain needs and ensure on-time deliveries.
Market Research and Analysis:
  • Continuously assess market trends, supplier capabilities, and product innovations to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, new materials, and emerging suppliers to improve purchasing strategies.
Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, contracts, and purchase orders for future reference and audits.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
  • Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory status for management.
  • Analyze purchasing trends to recommend improvements in sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement, with a strong understanding of supplier selection and negotiation processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing, supply chain management, and procurement strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
